scenocosme (France, Interactive Visual and Sonorous Installations)
scenocosme is composed of the artists Gregory Lasserre and Anais met den Ancxt. They live and work together. They use interactive art, music and architecture in order to invent evolutionary artwork capable of further interactivity.
Through multiple forms of expression, they invite the spectator to occupy the centre of musical or choreographic collective performances. Their installations offers moments of meeting and exchange and immerses the spectators in favorable spaces via daydream-like experiences stimulated by significant experiments with the body.
Anaïs met den Ancxt (born in Lyon 1981) graduated from the University of Lyon in Anthropology, from the Ecole Nationale des Beaux Arts in Lyon (DNSEP design d’espace), and from the Ecole Supérieure d’Art et de Design of St Etienne (Post diplôme design and research).
Grégory Lasserre (born in Annecy 1976) studied Computer Science and Electronics and graduated as a Master in Multimedia. Since 2002, he has been creating interactive artwork as a digital artist.
They have also realized projects with other artists, with the designer Mathieu Lehanneur and with theatre company and director: Cédric Marchal, Georges Gagneré, Cie Incidents Mémorables, Cie Les Yeux Gourmands…
Since 2004, their interactive installation artworks have been exhibited at ZKM – Centre for Art and Media Karlsruhe (Germany), at Villa Romana Firenze, and in many international biennials and festivals : Experimenta (Australia), BIACS3 – Biennal Contemporary Art of Sevilla (Spain), Experimenta (Australia), C.O.D.E (Canada), ISEA 2009 – Belfast, Futuresonic (UK), WRO (Poland), Ososphere, EXIT, VIA, Scopitone, Seconde-nature (France)… during important events : Lille3000, Fête des lumières de Lyon, Nuit Blanche… and in various art and cultural centers: Kibla (Slovenia), Utsikten Kunstsenter (Norway), Carré des Jalles, Maison Salvan (FR)…
In 2005, CNC awards them a grant : DICRéAM (dispositif pour la création artistique multimédia) for realize SphèrAléas, an interactive visual and sonorous installation.
In 2006, they create hybrids between plants and digital technology with artworks like Alsos and Akousmaflore in 2008. They suggest original sonorous interactions by touching plants. They offer sensory and emotional experiences with living plants.
In 2007, they created Métamorphose éphémère and Ambre Fluide. They invented system with camera, human body and light in order to generate interactive visual and sonorous materials.
In 2008-2009, They create the perpetual media art installation: In fabula. This artwork is now inside Le Rize centre Mémoires & Société of Villeurbanne. In fabula was made with two other artists : Denis Vedelago and the writer Anaïs Escot. This artwork questions the real and fictionnal memory of inhabitants of Villeurbanne.
In 2010, they created Contacts, an interactive sound installation with body and skin from public. This artwork was grant by the Award visual Arts and new technologies during the competition of the festival Bains Numeriques#5.
